Patient Resources

“There are lots of options that people use when they feel chronic pain or have been injured. Those options may make them feel better for a while. When you want to get to the root of the problem—versus just treating the symptoms—you need physical therapy. We’ll address the problem and create a plan to help you manage it for the long term.”

About Your Visit

What can I expect on my first visit?
We will review your medical history and test your functional movement, flexibility, and strength. We will create a plan of care for your recovery, including a treatment schedule and a home exercise program.
What should I wear to physical therapy?
We recommend comfortable clothing that you might normally use for exercise.
How many times will I need to come to physical therapy?
Every plan of care is different depending on the person and the injury. During your evaluation, your therapist will recommend the duration and frequency for your treatment. This plan is reviewed periodically with you and your physician and adjusted according to your progress.
How long will my appointment last?

Plan for 45 minutes for initial evaluation and approximately 45-60 minutes for your follow-up appointments.  Your therapist will let you know if your specific treatment may need more or less time.

Do I need a referral from my doctor for physical therapy?
In Montana, you may choose physical therapy directly without a doctor’s referral. However, your health insurance may require a referral so you should check with them first.

INSURANCE/PAYMENT

How do I know whether my insurance covers your services?

We take care of verifying your insurance benefits prior to your first appointment
and manage any required authorizations for your treatment

My insurance is not great. Do you offer a cash discount if I pay you directly?
Yes.
